All deposits are held in an interest-bearing trust account. Interest is credited on closing.
Interim occupancy is the period of time between when the owner takes possession of the unit and when the condo building is registered. During this time, you will pay interest on the outstanding balance. Once the building is registered, title can be transferred and the mortgage registered. It usually takes approx. 6 months to register the building after the owner takes possession.

2. Taxes, approx 1.2% of total purchase price; this amount is refundable if owner receives a tax bill covering the occupied period (divided by 12 months)
3. Mortgage component calculated on the balance owing (less deposits)
